EWA Calculation
How Available Amount is Calculated
Days Worked × Daily Rate × EWA Percentage = Available EWA
Example:
15 days × RM150/day × 50% = RM1,125 available
Factors Affecting Availability
- Days worked in current period
- Unpaid leave reduces available amount
- Previous EWA reduces available balance
- Policy caps may limit final amount
Common Questions
Q: Will I be charged interest?
Typically, EWA has no interest as it's your own earned money. Check with HR for your organization's specific policy.
Q: How quickly will I receive the money?
Processing time varies:
- Some organizations: Same day
- Others: 1-3 business days
- Depends on approval and payment processes
Q: Can I cancel my EWA request?
If still pending, you may be able to cancel. Once approved or paid, cancellation may not be possible.
Q: What if I leave before payday?
EWA will be deducted from your final settlement pay.
Tips
- Use sparingly - EWA should be for genuine needs, not regular spending
